Bullying is a disturbing issue that can be quite uncomfortable to deal with. Our experts at this meeting will provide guidance on how to address challenging situations. You will leave with a clear understanding of your role in this important process.

With interactive questions to the audience and stories of cases that have been filed in the Nevada Equal Rights Commission (NERC) office, you will:

    • Learn the limits of “freedom of speech” in the workplace
    • Learn how to draft a policy against harassment that will not encourage complaints from hypersensitive employees
    • Get the latest updates on EEO laws and protected categories
    • Understand the process for filing complaints with NERC

    Kara Jenkins

As NERC Administrator, Kara Jenkins oversees the processing of employment discrimination complaints relating to race, national origin, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age (over 40), disability, and gender identity or expression, as well as complaints of discrimination in public accommodations and housing.

    Lila Vizcarra
